Year 2 have had a wonderful morning boarding the Titanic as their topic launch morning. We began by learning some historical facts about the Titanic and how important the maiden voyage was. We then moved aboard the Titanic. We used drama to explore the feelings of the passengers. We looked up at the ship showing our amazement and surprise at the size of the ship. We thought about how it would feel to wave good bye to our family and friends and how small they would look given the size of the ship we were standing on. Moving inside the ship we showed our delight at the luxury accommodation we had just boarded. We learnt how people would dress for dinner and how they would be waited on and served their meal and drinks. Whilst on the ship we learnt how to waltz and did so whilst Mr Hall played the music for us on his guitar. After dinner and dancing we went on deck to have a stroll in the chilly starry night air. Then, suddenly, we heard it............... the warning bell! What would happen next?
