Tenth Anniversary of Partnership

On November 3rd 2014, six guests from Bachpan Primary School, Gujarat, India visited Southroyd to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the British Council's longest running school partnership. Three staff and three children spent an incredible week at school, sharing in our lessons and enriching our curriculum. The visit is the culmination of ten years of exchanges between children and teachers. The link has generated shared learning and friendships across the globe and we know will continue into the future.

All of the Southroyd children have grown through the partnership and all know that the annual visit from our Indian friends is an important and often favourite part of the calendar. The link plays an important part in our school aims, to prepare children, not just for high school, but for future life! We have shared a multitude of projects and enabled enrichment of our curriculum, as well as having a ready made and accessible audience for our work.
