For the last two years, Southroyd has become a Skipping School recognising the benefit of skipping within the P.E curriculum.

We have developed a lot of single and group skipping techniques which we used in Summer 2019.

The Y4 team won the silver medal overall and a gold medal for their team dance. Our Year 2 skipping team was one of the top 12 schools from 72 entries which went forwards to the finals at Headingley. They had a great day!  As well as a superb all round team performance there are some individual triumphs to celebrate too!

Jaden Thiara is the second fastest speed bouncer in Leeds and Ella Coupland is the third fastest speed bouncer!
