At Southroyd we have achieved the Investors in Pupils award for a number of years. This December we will be applying again for the award for the next 3 years. Investors in Pupils reflects a dedication to pupil participation in all aspects of the school, giving pupils a genuine voice and understanding of how the school works. During the year, children learn more about all the people involved in the school system, develop understanding of school budgets and of course become involved through school council to share their thoughts and suggestions. They are involved in the up-keeping and editing of key school policies and develop a shared responsibility for the community of school - a step towards Active Citizenship.
